As a full-time working professional and single mother, getting a Masters education seemed like an impossibility. After a great deal of research and discernment, I chose, in 2011, to start an online program with the University of St. Francis, Joliet IL. The online/distance-learning option offered by USF gave me the ability to further my education without disrupting my work and family life. It has hepled me learn discipline and self-reliance that self-study requires. The online discussions allow me to connect with classmates from across the United States. This has broadened my understanding through the viewpoints of my colleagues in various care practices and healthcare delivery areas.
